Abdest alınırken mümkünse kıbleye karşı oturulur. Önce kollar dirseklerin yukarısına kadar sıvanır. "Niyet ettim Allah rızası için abdest almaya" diye niyet edilir. Eûzübillahimineşşeytanirracim, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" denilir.


Eller bileklere kadar üç kere yıkanmalıdır. Parmak aralarının yıkanmasına dikkat edilmelidir. Yıkanırken bir elin parmakları diğer elin parmakları arasına geçirilerek hilallenir. Yüzük varsa oynatılarak altına su geçmesi temin edilir.


Sağ avuç ile ağıza üç kere ayrı ayrı su alınır. Her defasında iyice çalkalanır. Dişler, baş ve şehadet parmağı ile oğuşturulur.
Yalnız oruçlu olanlar, boğazlarına kaçmaması için ağızlarına suyu dolu dolu almazlar.


Sağ avuç ile buruna üç kere ayrı ayrı su çekilir. Sol el ile sümkürülerek burun temizlenir. Oruçlu olanlar buruna suyu çok hızlı çekmezler.


Alında saçların bittiği yerden itibaren kulakların yumuşağına ve çene altına kadar yüzün her tarafı üç kere yıkanır.
Su yüze çarpılmaz.


Sağ avuca su alınıp, dirseğe doğru akıtılır, dirseklerle beraber üç kere yıkanır. Yıkarken kolun her tarafı, kuru bir yer kalmayacak şekilde iyice ovulur.


Sol avuca su alınıp, dirseğe doğru akıtılır, sol kol dirseklerle beraber üç kere yıkanır. Önce sağ ve sonrada sol kol yıkanır.


Sağ el yeni bir su ile ıslatılır. Sağ elin içi ve parmaklar başın üzerine konularak, başın ön tarafına saç bitiminden itibaren konulup, ıslak elle bir kere meshedilir.

Eller ıslatılarak, sağ elin serçe parmağı ile sağ kulağın içi, baş parmağı ile de kulağın dışı; sol elin seçe parmağı ile sol kulağın içi, baş parmağı ile de kulağın arkası meshedilir.


Elleri yeniden ıslatmaya gerek yoktur. Baş ve işaret parmakları hariç, diğer üç parmağın dışıyla boyun mesh edilir.

Eller öne doğru çekiliken, çene altına doğru değil, kulak altından yüze doğru getirilir.


Önce sağ ayak, sonra sol ayak, topuk kemikleriyle beraber, sol elle yıkanır.

Parmak araları sağdan sola doğru hilallenir.

How To Take Wudhu?

One faces the Qiblah, if possible, sits on an elevated place (so that used water may easily flow away), the intention (Niyyah) to make ablution, (recites Audhu and Bismillah.

One washes both hands up to the wrists, during which the skin bewtween the fingers of one hand is combed with the fingers of the other. If one has a ring, it is to be moved araound so that water reaches under it.

The mouth is rinsed with a mouthful of water using the right hand.
Howeever, if one is fasting, one doees not take in that much water out of fear that some water may be swallowed.

Water is taken nto the nostrils with the right hand and blown out and cleaned with the left. Those who are fasting do not forcefully take in the water.

The whole face from the forehead, where the hair ends, to the part below the chin; the comolete section between the two ear-lobes is to be washed.

The right hand is made wet and then starting from the front part of the head at the beginning of the hairline the wet hand wipes the hair.

The inside of ears are wiped with the little-finger whilewiping behind the ears with the inner part of the tumb.

The back of the neck is wiped with the outer part of the tree fingers excluding the thumbs and the point-fingers.

One draws the hands to the front, not directly to that part below the chin, but instead from beneath the ears directly to the face.

The skin between the toes of the right foot is combed with the point-finger of the left hand, beginning from the small toe; thus wiping the whole foot. the feet up to and including the ankles are washed.

The left foot is wiped in the same manner as the right foot, again with the left hand.

This time, however, one starts to comb the skin between the toes from the big toe.
